Shihab reported,

I came to Ibn Abbas, along with a companion of mine, and we met Abu Hurayrah at the door of Ibn Abbas.He asked, "Who are you two?"We told him, and he said, "Go to some people who have dates and water. Every valley flows according to its capacity."We said, "May your good increase. Please seek permission for us to enter upon Ibn Abbas."So he sought permission for us, and we heard Ibn Abbas narrating from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "The Messenger of Allah delivered a sermon on the day of Tabuk and said, 'There is no one among the people like a man who holds the reins of his horse and strives in the path of Allah while keeping away from the evils of people, and like a man living remotely with his sheep, offering hospitality to his guest and paying what is due upon him.'"Talq said, "I asked, 'Did he really say that?'He answered, 'He said it.'I asked again, 'Did he really say that?'He answered, 'He said it.'I asked once more, 'Did he really say that?'He answered, 'He said it.'So I glorified Allah, praised Allah, and gave thanks."

عن شهاب العنبري قال

أتيت ابن عباس، أنا وصاحب لي، فلقينا أبا هريرة عند باب ابن عباس فقال: من أنتما؟ فأخبرناه فقال: انطلقا إلى ناس على تمر وماء، إنما يسيل كل واد بقدره، قال: قلنا: كثر خيرك استأذن لنا على ابن عباس قال: فاستأذن لنا فسمعنا ابن عباس يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ فقال: خطب رسول الله يوم تبوك فقال: ما في الناس مثل رجل آخذ بعنان فرسه، فيجاهد في سبيل الله، ويجتنب شرور الناس، ومثل رجل باد في غنمه، يقري ضيفه، ويؤدي حقه قال: قلت: أقالها؟ قال: قالها، قال: قلت: أقالها؟ قال: قالها، قال: قلت: أقالها؟ قال: قالها، فكبرت الله وحمدت الله وشكرت.
