Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People of the Ansar, did I not come to you when you were astray and Allah guided you through me? Did I not come to you when you were divided and Allah united you through me? Did I not come to you when you were enemies and Allah brought your hearts together through me?"They replied, "Indeed, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Will you not say, 'You came to us frightened and we granted you safety, hunted and we gave you refuge, forsaken and we supported you'?"They said, "Rather, the favor belongs to Allah and to His Messenger ﷺ."

عن أنس

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: يا معشر الأنصار ألم اتكم ضلالا فهداكم الله عز وجل بي، ألم آتكم متفرقين فجمعكم الله بي، ألم آتكم أعداء فألف الله بين قلوبكم بي، قالوا: بلى يا رسول الله، قال: أفلا تقولون جئتنا خائفا فآمناك وطريدا فأويناك ومحذولا فنصرناك، فقالوا بل الله تبارك وتعالى المن به علينا ولرسوله ﷺ.
