The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not shake hands with women when taking their pledge of allegiance."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إني لست أصافح النساء في البيعة.
Ahmad (27594) narrated it from Waki, who said, Abdul-Hameed bin Bahram narrated to us, from Shahr bin Hawshab, from Asma bint Yazid, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Shahr bin Hawshab, for there is disagreement about him, though his hadith is hasan. It has been narrated at length, see the Book of Leadership.His statement, "He would not shake hands with women when taking the pledge," means that he would take their pledge by word alone, without shaking hands.
