Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Prophet ﷺ set out from Madinah during Ramadan with ten thousand men, this being eight and a half years after his arrival in Madinah. He and the Muslims accompanying him traveled toward Makkah while fasting, until they reached al-Kadid, a watering place between Usfan and Qudayd, where he broke his fast and they broke theirs.
