I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "I will be the first person for whom the earth splits open to reveal my skull on the Day of Resurrection, and I say this without boasting. I will be given the Banner of Praise, and I say this without boasting. I will be the master of all people on the Day of Resurrection, and I say this without boasting. I will be the first to enter Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, and I say this without boasting.I will come to the gate of Paradise and take hold of its ring, and they will ask, 'Who is this?'I will reply, 'I am Muhammad.'So they will open it for me, and I will enter. There I will find the Almighty before me, and I will prostrate to Him. He will say, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak, and you will be heard. Ask, and you will be granted. Intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.'I will raise my head and say, 'My nation, my nation, my Lord.'He will say, 'Go to your nation. Whoever you find with the weight of a barley grain of faith in his heart, admit him into Paradise.'So I will go and admit into Paradise everyone in whose heart I find that much faith. Then I will find the Almighty before me again, and I will prostrate to Him. He will say, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak, and you will be heard. Ask, and you will be granted. Intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.'I will raise my head and say, 'My nation, my nation, my Lord.'He will say, 'Go to your nation. Whoever you find with half a barley grain of faith in his heart, admit them into Paradise.'So I will go and admit into Paradise everyone in whose heart I find that much faith. Then I will find the Almighty before me again, and I will prostrate to Him. He will say, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak, and you will be heard. Ask, and you will be granted. Intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.'I will raise my head and say, 'My nation, my nation.'He will say, 'Go to your nation. Whoever you find with the weight of a mustard seed of faith in his heart, admit him into Paradise.'So I will go and admit into Paradise everyone in whose heart I find that much faith.Allah will then complete the reckoning of mankind, and those of my nation who remain will be cast into the Fire along with its other inhabitants. The people of the Fire will say to them, 'What benefit was it to you that you used to worship Allah and associate nothing with Him?'The Almighty will say, 'By My might, I shall surely free them from the Fire.'So He will send for them, and they will be brought out, scorched and charred. They will be plunged into the River of Life, and they will sprout in it as seeds sprout in the silt left by a flood. Between their eyes will be written, 'These are the freed ones of Allah.' They will be taken and admitted into Paradise. The people of Paradise will say of them, 'These are the people of Hell!'But the Almighty will say, 'No, these are the freed ones of the Almighty.'"
Imam Ahmad (12469), Ibn Manda in Iman (877), Ibn Khuzayma in Tawhid (601), Diya in Mukhtara (2345), and Darimi (53) all narrated it through Layth, from Ibn Hadi, from Amr bin Abu Amr, from Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it, the wording being Ahmad's.Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Abu Amr, the freed slave of Muttalib, since there is disagreement about him. Ibn Main and Nasai declared him daif, while Abu Zura and Ajli affirmed his reliability. Ahmad said, "There is no harm in him." Dhahabi said, "His hadith is hasan," and that is as he said, provided nothing objectionable appears in his hadith. He has other daif chains, but the one I have mentioned is the soundest of them.
