When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ consummated his marriage with Safiyyah, Abu Ayub spent the night at the door of the Prophet ﷺ. In the morning, when he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he called out the takbir. Abu Ayub had a sword with him, and he said, "Messenger of Allah, she was a young woman recently married, and I had killed her father, her brother, and her husband, so I did not feel secure about her being with you."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed and spoke kindly to him.
