Safiyyah fell to Dihyah as his share of the spoils, and the people began praising her before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "We have not seen anyone among the captives like her."So he sent for Dihyah and gave him what he wanted in exchange for her, then he handed her over to my mother and said, "Prepare her."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Khaybar. When he had put it behind him, he stopped and pitched a tent over her. In the morning, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has any surplus provisions, let him bring them to us."So the men began bringing surplus dates and surplus parched barley until they had gathered a large quantity, and they made a hays out of it. They began eating from that hays and drinking from pools of rainwater beside them.Anas said, "That was the wedding feast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for her."We then set out, and when we saw the walls of Madinah we were filled with longing for it. We urged our mounts forward, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urged his mount forward as well, with Safiyyah behind him, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had seated her on his mount behind him.The mount of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stumbled, and he fell and she fell. No one among the people was looking at him or at her, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and screened her.We came to him and he said, "We have not been harmed."We entered Madinah, and the young women among his wives came out looking at her and rejoicing at her fall.
صارت صفية لدحية في مقسمه وجعلوا يمدحونها عند رسول الله ﷺ قال:- ويقولون ما رأينا في السبي مثلها. قال: فبعث إلى دحية فأعطاه بها ما أراد ثم دفعها إلى أمي فقال: أصلحيها. قال: ثم خرج رسول الله ﷺ من خيبر حتى إذا جعلها في ظهره نزل ثم ضرب عليها القبة، فلما أصبح قال رسول الله ﷺ: من كان عنده فضل زاد فليأتنا به. قال: فجعل الرجل يجيء بفضل التمر، وفضل السويق حتى جعلوا من ذلك سوادا حيسا، فجعلوا يأكلون من ذلك الحيس ويشربون من حياض إلى جنبهم من ماء السماء. قال: فقال أنس: فكانت تلك وليمة رسول الله ﷺ عليها. قال: فانطلقنا حتى إذا رأينا جدر المدينة هششنا إليها، فرفعنا مطينا ورفع رسول الله ﷺ مطيته، قال: وصفية خلفه قد أردفها رسول الله ﷺ، قال: فعثرت مطية رسول الله ﷺ فصرع وصرعت قال: فليس أحد من الناس ينظر إليه ولاإليها، حتى قام رسول الله ﷺ فسترها، قال: فأتيناه فقال: لم نضي. قال: فدخلنا المدينة فخرج جواري نسائه يتراءينها ويشمتن بصرعتها.
