When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out on the expedition to Khaybar, or he said, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set forth, the people came in sight of a valley and raised their voices with the takbir, "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illa Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Go easy on yourselves. You are not calling upon someone deaf or absent. You are calling upon One who hears and is near, and He is with you."I was behind the mount of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he heard me saying, "There is no power and no strength except with Allah."He said to me, "Abdullah bin Qays."I replied, "At your service, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Shall I direct you to a phrase that is one of the treasures of Paradise?"I said, "Yes indeed, Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransomed for you."He said, "There is no power and no strength except with Allah."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4202) and Muslim in the Book of Remembrance and Supplication (44:2704), both of them through the route of Aasim (he is al-Ahwal), from Abu Uthman (he is Nahdi), from Abu Musa, who said, then he mentioned it.
