He said, "We were besieging Khaybar when someone threw out a sack containing fat. I leapt forward to grab it, then turned around and saw the Prophet ﷺ, so I felt ashamed."
قال كنا محاصري خيبر فرمى إنسان بجراب فيه شحم فنزوت لآخذه فالتفت، فإذا النبي ﷺ فاستحييت.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapters on military expeditions (4214), and Muslim narrated it in the chapters on jihad (72:1772), both through the route of Shubah, who said, "Humayd bin Hilal narrated to me, from Abdullah bin Mughafal, who said," and he mentioned it.
