ذكرت عند سعيد بن المسيب الشجرة فضحك، فقال: أخبرني أبي وكان شهدها
Bukhari narrated it in al-Maghazi (4165) and Muslim in al-Imarah (1859:78), both from the hadith of Sufyan, from Tariq, and he mentioned it, and the wording is Bukhari's. Muslim added, He said, "So they forgot it the following year."
