I asked Salama bin Akwa, "On what did you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Hudaybiyah?"He replied, "On death."
قلت لسلمة بن الأكوع: على أي شيء بايعتم رسول الله ﷺ يوم الحديبية؟ قال: على الموت.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on leadership (1858), on the authority of Yahya bin Yahya, who said, Yazid bin Zuray informed us, from Khalid, from Hakam bin Abdullah bin Aaraj, from Maqil bin Yasar, who mentioned it.
