A man said to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uhud, "Tell me, if I am killed, where will I be?"He replied, "In Paradise."The man threw down some dates he had in his hand, then fought until he was killed.
قال رجل للنبي ﷺ يوم أحد: أرأيت إن قتلت فأين أنا؟ قال: في الجنة فألقى تمرات في يده، ثم قاتل حتى قتل.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4046), and Muslim in the Book of Leadership (1899:143), both through the route of Sufyan (that is, Ibn Uyayna), from Amr, who heard Jabir bin Abdullah say what has already been mentioned.This man is not Umayr bin Hamam, as some scholars have claimed, for the story of Umayr bin Hamam took place on the day of Badr, while the story of this man took place on the day of Uhud. So they are two different men, one of them being Umayr bin Hamam, while the name of the second is not known.
