The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a small group to Abu Rafi. Abdullah bin Ateek entered his house at night while he was asleep and killed him.
بعث رسول الله ﷺ رهطا إلى أبي رافع، فدخل عليه عبد الله بن عتيك بيته ليلا وهو نائم فقتله.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4038) from Ishaq bin Nasr, who said, "Yahya bin Adam narrated to us, who said, "Ibn Abu Zaida narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Ishaq, from Bara bin Azib," and he mentioned it.
