Ibn Majah (4281) and Ahmad (26440) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (4800), all of them through chains going back to Amash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, from Umm Mubashir - the wife of Zayd bin Haritha - from Hafsa, and so he related it.In another narration, from Umm Mubashir, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, while he was in Hafsa's house, and she went on to relate the hadith. This would then make it part of the musnad of Umm Mubashir herself, as is the case with Muslim (2496), through another route, from Ibn Jurayj, who said, Abu Zubayr told me that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah say, Umm Mubashir told me that she heard the Prophet ﷺ say, while at Hafsa's, and she related the hadith, except that it does not mention Badr.As for the words of Allah, the Exalted, "There is not one of you but will come to it" [Maryam 19:71], what is meant by "coming to it" is passing over the Path, which is a bridge stretched over Hell. Its people fall into it, while the believers are saved. Hafsa had understood it to mean entering the Fire, so the Prophet ﷺ responded to her with the verse that follows, explaining that what was meant was passing over the Path, not entering the Fire.And if the verse is understood to mean entering the Fire, then for the believers it would be cool and peaceful, after which they would come out of it and enter Paradise, unlike the disbelievers.
