I had a young she-camel that came to me as my share of the spoils on the day of Badr, and the Prophet ﷺ had also given me another from what Allah had granted him from the one-fifth that day. The hadith continues at length.
كانت لي شارف من نصيبي من المغنم يوم بدر، وكان النبي ﷺ أعطاني مما أفاء الله عليه من الخمس يومئذ… الحديث بطوله.
Bukhari narrated it in Al-Maghazi (4003), and Muslim narrated it in Al-Ashribah (2:1979), both through Yunus bin Yazid, from Ibn Shihab, who said, Ali bin Husayn bin Ali informed me that Husayn bin Ali informed him that Ali said, and then he mentioned it.
