Hakeem bin Hizam reported,

On the day of Badr, we heard a sound falling from the sky to the earth, as if it were the sound of a pebble falling into a basin. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw those pebbles, and they were defeated. That is the meaning of the words of Allah Almighty, "And you did not throw when you threw, but it was Allah who threw, that He might test the believers with a good trial from Him" [Anfal 8:17].
