He said to Kaab al-Ahbar, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'Every prophet has a prayer that he is granted, and I wish, if Allah wills, to reserve my prayer as intercession for my community on the Day of Resurrection.'"
أنه قال لكعب الأحبار: إن نبي الله ﷺ قال: لكل نبي دعوة يدعوها، فأنا أريد إن شاء أن أختبئ دعوتي شفاعة لأمتي يوم القيامة.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (199) from Harmala bin Yahya, from Ibn Wahb, from Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, that Amr bin Abu Sufyan bin Usayd bin Jariya Thaqafi told him that Abu Hurairah said to Kaab, and he mentioned it. Kaab said to Abu Hurairah, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" Abu Hurairah said, "Yes."
