Jabir said, "I fought alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in nineteen military expeditions."Jabir said, "I did not witness Badr or Uhud, because my father prevented me. But after Abdullah was killed on the day of Uhud, I never stayed behind from any expedition with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
غزوت مع رسول الله ﷺ تسع عشرة غزوة. قال جابر: لم أشهد بدرا ولا أحدا، منعني أبي، فلما قتل عبد الله يوم أحد، لم أتخلف عن رسول الله ﷺ في غزوة قط.
Muslim reported it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions (1813: 145), from Zuhayr bin Harb, who said, Rawh bin Ubada narrated to us, who said, Zakariya (he is Ibn Ishaq Makki) narrated to us, who said, Abu Zubayr informed us that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah say it, and he mentioned it.
