Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir (179/12), and in Al-Awsat, Majma Bahrayn (2916, 2917), and Hakim (314/3), both by way of Saeed bin Sulayman Wasiti, who said, Abbad bin Awwam narrated to us, from Sufyan bin Husayn, from Yaala bin Muslim, from Jabir bin Zayd, from Ibn Abbas, who said, then he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Sufyan bin Husayn Wasiti, for his hadith is hasan except in what he narrates from Zuhri, and this hadith belongs to that category. Ibn Hajar also graded it hasan in Fath al-Bari (371/7). Hakim said, "Its chain is sahih, though the two of them did not narrate it."Zubayr bin Awwam and Abdullah bin Masud were both among the migrants from the people of Makkah.
