Abdullah bin Zubayr reported,

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah, his she-camel knelt down between the house of Jafar bin Muhammad bin Ali and the house of Hasan bin Zayd. The people came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, here is a place to stay."The she-camel then rose and continued on with him until it reached the spot where the pulpit now stands, where it knelt again and settled down. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Leave her alone, for she is under command."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted from his she-camel and took refuge in some shade nearby, where he settled. Then Abu Ayub came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, my house is the closest of the houses to this place."Then another man came and said, "Messenger of Allah, stay with me."He replied, "A man stays with his belongings wherever they are."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained in the shelter and led the people in prayer there for twelve nights, until the mosque was built.
