Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah riding behind Abu Bakr on the same mount. Abu Bakr was an older man whom people recognized, while the Prophet of Allah ﷺ was a young man who was not yet known.A man would meet Abu Bakr and ask, "Abu Bakr, who is this man riding in front of you?"Abu Bakr would reply, "This is a man who guides me along the way."The one hearing this would assume he meant the road, but what Abu Bakr actually meant was the path of righteousness.
