Saad said, "O Allah, You know that there is no people I would rather fight in Your cause than a people who rejected the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and drove him out. O Allah, I believe You have brought the war between us and them to an end."
إن سعدا قال: اللهم إنك تعلم أنه ليس أحد أحب إلى أن أجاهدهم فيك من قوم كذبوا رسول الله ﷺ، وأخرجوه. اللهم فإني أظن أنك قد وضعت الحرب بيننا وبينهم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Virtues (3901) from Zakariya bin Yahya, who said, Ibn Numayr narrated to us. Hisham said, My father informed me, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Abu Aban bin Yazid said, Hisham narrated to us, from his father, Ayesha informed me, "From a people who denied your prophet and drove him out of Quraysh."Saad here refers to Saad bin Muaz Khazraji, who was wounded in the vein of his arm on the day of the Trench. So the Prophet ﷺ pitched a tent in the masjid so he could visit him from close by. But his wound kept bleeding until he died there, as Bukhari mentioned in his Sahih (463).
