I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "People of the Ansar, your appointed meeting with me will be at my Pool. Its vessels are more numerous than the stars of the sky, or as many as the stars of the sky, and its width is like the distance between me and Sanaa, or like the distance between me and Amman."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: يا معشر الأنصار موعدكم حوضي آنيته أكثر من عدد نجوم السماء أو مثل عدد نجوم السماء، وإن عرضه كما بيني وبين صنعاء أو كما بيني وبين عمان.
Bazzar (6215) narrated it from Abdullah bin Saeed, who reported, "Uqba bin Khalid told us, Saad bin Saeed told us, he said, I heard Anas bin Malik," and he related it.Haythami said in Majma (10/361), "Bazzar narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih." I say, this is as he said, except that Saad bin Saeed, who is the brother of Yahya bin Saeed Ansari, does not rise to the level of being trustworthy due to criticism of his memory, though his hadith is hasan.On this subject there is also what was narrated from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, meaning Ibn Abu Talib, who said, Muawiya came to Madinah, and Abu Qatada met him and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'You will encounter after me selfish rule.'" He said, "So what did he command you to do?" He said, "He commanded us to be patient." He said, "Then be patient."Imam Ahmad (22591) narrated it from Abdul-Razzaq, and it is also in his Musannaf (19909), from Mamar, who said, "Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel told me," and he related it. There is a break in it, for Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel did not witness the incident himself. As for him, his hadith is acceptable despite the scholars' criticism of his memory, because he changed and began to be prompted.On this subject there is also what was narrated from Ibn Abu Layla, who said, I heard Bara narrating to a group of people, among whom was Kaab bin Ujra, and he said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to the Ansar, "You will encounter after me selfish rule." They said, "So what do you command us to do?" He said, "Be patient until you meet me at the Basin."Imam Ahmad (18582) narrated it from Muhammad bin Jafar, who said, "Shuba told us, from Yazid bin Abu Ziyad, who said, I heard Ibn Abu Layla," and he related the hadith.Yazid bin Abu Ziyad Qurashi Hashimi, Abu Abdullah, their freedman, from Kufa, is daif. However, Abu Zura said, "He is lenient, his hadith is written down but not relied upon as proof." Ajurri reported from Abu Dawud, "I do not know of anyone who abandoned his hadith, and to me he is preferable to others." Ibn Adi said, "He belongs to the Shia of Kufa, and despite his weakness, his hadith is written down."I say, someone like him, if mentioned among corroborating witnesses, would not be considered objectionable, though I have no need for him given the existence of sahih hadiths on this subject.
