Abbad reported,

I was a young boy with my father at Mina, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was saying, "Sons of so-and-so, I am the Messenger of Allah to you. He commands you to worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, to cast off these rivals you worship besides Him, to believe in me, affirm my truthfulness, and protect me until I make clear from Allah that with which He has sent me."Behind him stood a cross-eyed, fair-skinned man with two locks of hair, wearing an Adani garment. Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his speech and his call, that man would say, "Sons of so-and-so, this man is only calling you to strip Lat and Uzza from your necks, and your allies from the jinn of Banu Malik bin Aqyas, in favor of this innovation he has brought. Do not obey him, and do not listen to him."I said to my father, "Father, who is this man who follows him and contradicts what he says?"He replied, "That is his uncle, Abdul-Uzza bin Abdul-Muttalib, Abu Lahab."

عن ربيعة بن عباد يحدث عن أبيه قال

إني لغلام شاب مع أبي بمنى. ورسول الله ﷺ يقول: يا بني فلان إني رسول الله إليكم، يأمركم أن تعبدوا الله، ولا تشركوا به شيئا. وأن تخلعوا ما تعبدون من دونه من هذه الأنداد، وأن توفوا بي، وتصدقوا بي، وتمنعوني حتى أبين عن الله ما بعثني به قال: وخلفه رجل أحول وضيء، له غديرتان، عليه حلة عدنية. فإذا فرغ رسول الله ﷺ من قوله، وما دعا إليه، قال ذلك الرجل: يا بني فلان، إن هذا إنما يدعوكم أن تسلخوا اللات والعزى من أعناقكم وحلفاءكم من الجن من بني مالك بن أقيس، إلى ما جاءه به من البدعة، فلا تطيعوه، ولا تسمعوا فيه. قال: قلت لأبي: يا أبت! من هذا الذي يتبعه، ويرد عليه ما يقول؟ قال: هذا عمه عبد العزى بن عبد المطلب أبو لهب.
