Zayd bin Arqam reported,

Ubaydullah bin Ziyad summoned me, so I went to him.He asked, "What are these hadith you narrate and transmit from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ which we do not find in the Book of Allah ? You claim he has a basin in Paradise!"He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself told us about it and promised it to us."Ubaydullah said, "You are lying. Rather, you are an old man who has lost his mind."He answered, "My own ears heard it and my heart preserved it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in Hellfire.' And I have not lied about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."

عن زيد بن أرقم، قال

بعث إلي عبيد الله بن زياد، فأتيته فقال: ما أحاديث تحدثها وترويها عن رسول الله ﷺ لا نجدها في كتاب الله عز وجل؟ تحدث أن له حوضا في الجنة! قال: لقد حدثناه رسول الله ﷺ وعدناه. قال: كذبت، ولكنك شيخ قد خرفت! قال: إني قد سمعته أذناي ووعاه قلبي من رسول الله ﷺ يقول: من كذب علي متعمدا، فليتبوأ مقعده من جهنم. وما كذبت على رسول الله ﷺ.
