I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "I have a pool stretching from Aylah to Sanaa, its width equal to its length. In it are two spouts pouring from Paradise, one of silver and the other of gold. Its water is sweeter than honey, colder than snow, and whiter than milk. Whoever drinks from it will never thirst again until he enters Paradise. Around it are vessels as numerous as the stars of the sky."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إن لي حوضا ما بين أيلة إلى صنعاء، عرضه كطوله، فيه ميزابان ينثعبان من الجنة، من ورق، والآخر من ذهب أحلى من العسل، وأبرد من الثلج، وأبيض من اللبن من شرب منه لم يظمأ حتى يدخل الجنة، فيه أباريق عدد نجوم السماء.
Narrated by Imam Ahmad (19804), Bazzar (3849), and Ibn Abu Asim in Sunnah (722), all through the route of Shaddad bin Saeed Abu Talha, who said, Jabir bin Amr Abu Wazi narrated to us that he heard Abu Barza Aslami say (then he related it).Ibn Hibban (6458) and Hakim (1/76) both graded it sahih through this same route. Hakim said, "Sahih according to the standard of Muslim, for he cited two hadiths from Abu Talha Rasibi, from Abu Wazi, from Abu Barza."I say, rather its chain is hasan due to the discussion concerning Jabir bin Amr Abu Wazi, for there is disagreement about him. Imam Ahmad deemed him reliable, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat. Nasai said, "His hadith is munkar." Ibn Main said, "He is nothing." The conclusion regarding him is that his hadith is hasan, and he has other chains, this one being the most sahih of them.As for what Abu Dawud (4749) narrated from Muslim bin Ibrahim, who said, Abdul-Salam bin Abu Hazim Abu Talut narrated to us, saying, I witnessed Abu Barza enter upon Ubaydullah bin Ziyad, and so-and-so told me (Muslim named him), and he was present at the gathering. When Ubaydullah saw him, he said, "Is this your little short-legged Muhammad?" The old man understood what he meant and said, "I never thought I would live among a people who would taunt me for my companionship with Muhammad ﷺ." Ubaydullah said to him, "Companionship with Muhammad ﷺ is an adornment for you, not a disgrace." Then he said, "I only sent for you to ask you about the Basin. Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention anything about it?" Abu Barza said to him, "Yes, not once, nor twice, nor three times, nor four times, nor five times. Whoever denies it, may Allah not give him to drink from it." Then he left in anger.In this account there is an unnamed man who was not identified, however the story itself is sahih.
