Abu Musa Ashari reported,
The Prophet ﷺ fell ill, and his illness grew severe. He said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."Ayesha said, "He is a tender-hearted man. If he stands in your place, he will not be able to lead the people in prayer."He said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."She repeated her objection, and he said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. You women are like the companions of Yusuf."So the messenger went to Abu Bakr, and he led the people in prayer during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ.

Sahihعن أبي موسى الأشعري قال
مرض النبي ﷺ فاشتد مرضه فقال: مروا أبا بكر فليصل بالناس قالت عائشة: إنه رجل رقيق إذا قام مقامك لم يستطع أن يصلي بالناس قال: مروا أبا بكر فليصل بالناس فعادت فقال: مري أبا بكر فليصل بالناس، فإنكن صواحب يوسف. فأتاه الرسول، فصلى بالناس في حياة النبي ﷺ.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on adhan (678), and Muslim in the chapter on prayer (420:101), both through Husayn bin Ali, from Zaida, from Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, who said, Abu Burda narrated to me from Abu Musa, and he mentioned it.His saying, "the companions of Yusuf," means banding together over what you want, persisting in seeking what you desire, and inclining toward it. Nawawi noted this in his commentary on Sahih Muslim.
