Abdullah bin Zama reported,

He heard the Prophet ﷺ delivering a sermon in which he mentioned the she camel and the man who hamstrung it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited, "when the most wicked among them rose up" [Shams 91:12], and explained that the one who rose against it was a powerful, violent man, well protected among his clan, like Abu Zamah.He then spoke of women and said, "One of you deliberately whips his wife as a slave is whipped, and then perhaps he lies with her at the end of the same day."He also admonished them for laughing at the sound of passing wind, saying, "Why should any of you laugh at something he does himself?"In another narration he added, "like Abu Zamah, the uncle of Zubayr bin Awwam."

عن عبد الله بن زمعة

أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يخطب وذكر الناقة والذي عقر فقال رسول الله ﷺ: {إذ انبعث أشقاها}[ الشمس: ١٢] انبعث لها رجل عزيز عارم منيع في رهطه مثل أبي زمعة وذكر النساء فقال: يعمد أحدكم فيجلد امرأته جلد العبد فلعله يضاجعها من آخر يومه ثم وعظهم في ضحكهم من الضرطة وقال: لم يضحك أحدكم مما يفعل؟ وزاد في رواية: مثل أبي زمعة عم الزبير بن العوام.
