The Prophet ﷺ said, "The first to be called on the Day of Resurrection will be Adam. His descendants will be shown to him, and it will be said, 'This is your father Adam.' He will reply, 'Here I am, at Your service.' Allah will say, 'Send forth from your descendants those bound for Hell.' Adam will ask, 'My Lord, how many shall I send forth?' Allah will say, 'Send forth ninety-nine out of every hundred.'"The companions said, "Messenger of Allah, if ninety-nine out of every hundred are taken from us, what will remain of us?"He replied, "My nation among the other nations is like a single white hair on a black bull."
Bukhari narrated it in the Chapter on Softening of Hearts (6529), from Ismail, who said, "My brother narrated to me," from Sulayman, from Thawr, from Abu Ghayth, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.His saying, "My nation among the nations is like a white hair..." contains an indication of the vast number of the nations who did not believe in their prophets.
