The Prophet ﷺ said, "I shall be at the Pool watching to see who among you will come to me. Some people will be taken away before reaching me, and I will say, 'My Lord, they are from me and from my community!' It will be said, 'Do you know what they did after you? By Allah, they kept turning back on their heels.'"Ibn Abu Mulayka used to say, "O Allah, we seek refuge in You from turning back on our heels or being tried in our religion.""You turned back on your heels" [Muminun 23:66] means you returned on your heels.
Bukhari related it in Riqaq (6593), and Muslim in Fadail (2293), both from the hadith of Nafi bin Umar, who said, "Ibn Abu Mulayka narrated to me, from Asma bint Abu Bakr," and he related it. Muslim did not mention his chain of transmission, but rather referred back to the chain of the hadith of Abdullah bin Amr bin As.
