The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Narrate from me, but do not lie about me. Whoever deliberately lies about me has prepared his seat in the Fire. And narrate from the Children of Israil, there is no harm in that."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: حدثوا عني ولا تكذبوا علي. ومن كذب علي متعمدا فقد تبرأ مقعده من النار، وحدثوا عن بني إسرائيل ولا حرج.
Ahmad (11424) and Abu Yaala (1209) both narrated it from the hadith of Abdul-Samad, who said, Hammam narrated to us, who said, Zayd narrated to us from Ata bin Yasar, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who said, then he mentioned it.Muslim (3004) also narrated it from Haddab bin Khalid Azdi, who said, Hammam narrated to us with his chain, except that he did not mention, "and relate from Banu Israil, there is no harm in that."
