A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "Messenger of Allah, what do you think if a man comes intending to take my property?"He replied, "Then do not give him your property."The man asked, "What if he fights me?"He replied, "Fight him back."The man asked, "What if he kills me?"He replied, "Then you are a martyr."The man asked, "What if I kill him?"He replied, "He is in the Fire."
جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال: يا رسول الله أرأيت إن جاء رجل يريد أخذ مالي؟ قال: فلا تعطه مالك. قال: أرأيت إن قاتلني؟ قال: قاتله. قال: أرأيت إن قتلني؟ قال: فأنت شهيد. قال: أرأيت إن قتلته؟ قال: هو في النار.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (140) from Abu Kurayb Muhammad bin Ala, who said, Khalid, meaning bin Makhlad, narrated to us, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar narrated to us, from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and he mentioned it.
