Bazzar narrated it (7328) from Muhammad bin Yahya bin Adi, who said, Muhammad bin Abdullah Ansari told us, from his father (he is Abdullah bin Muthanna), from Thumama, from Anas, and he related it.Bazzar said, "We do not know this hadith to be narrated from Anas except through this route, and we have not heard it except from Muhammad bin Yahya bin Adi, who was, Allah willing, among the righteous."I say, its isnad is hasan on account of Thumama bin Abdullah and Abdullah bin Muthanna, for both of them are trustworthy (saduq). As for Bazzar's sheikh, I have not come across a biography of him, except that Bazzar described him as righteous. And Allah knows best.As for what Tirmidhi narrated in his Sunan (1640), and in his Ilal al-Kabir (2/707), from Yahya bin Talha Yarbui Kufi, who said, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash told us, from Humayd, from Anas, this contains weakness, and Bukhari found fault with it.Tirmidhi said, "This is a rare hadith, we do not know it from the report of Abu Bakr except through the report of this sheikh" (meaning Yahya Yarbui). "I asked Muhammad bin Ismail about this hadith, but he did not recognize it, and he said, 'I think he meant the hadith of Humayd from Anas from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "None of the people of Paradise would wish to return to this world, except the martyr."'"Yahya bin Talha Yarbui is daif, even though Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy (thiqat), except that he said, "He used to relate unusual reports from Abu Naeem and others."The hadith of Humayd from Anas to which Bukhari referred is mentioned in the chapter on the virtue of martyrdom.
