The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no soul on earth that dies and has good waiting for it with Allah which would wish to return to you, even if it were given the entire world, except for the martyr, for he wishes to return so he might be killed once again."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ما على الأرض من نفس تموت ولها عند الله خير، تحب أن ترجع إليكم، ولها الدنيا إلا القتيل فإنه يحب أن يرجع، فيقتل مرة أخرى.
Nasai (3159) narrated it via Muhammad bin Isa bin Qasim bin Sami, who said, Zayd bin Waqid told us, from Kathir bin Mura, from Ubada bin Samit, and he related it. Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat (401) via Haytham bin Humayd, from Zayd bin Waqid, from Sulayman bin Musa, from Kathir, with the same wording, adding Sulayman bin Musa between Zayd bin Waqid and Kathir bin Mura. It seems there was a dropout in the chain of Nasai. And Allah knows best.Ahmad (22710) narrated it via Ibn Jurayj, who said, Sulayman bin Musa also said, Kathir bin Mura told us, with the same wording. Its chain is hasan because of Sulayman bin Musa, who is al-Ashdaq, for his hadith is hasan.
