Thawban reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies free of three things will enter Paradise: arrogance, misappropriation of spoils, and debt."

Tirmidhi (1572), Ibn Majah (2412), Ahmad (22427), Ibn Hibban (198), Hakim (2/26), Bayhaqi (5/355), and Darimi (2634) all narrated it from the hadith of Saeed bin Abu Aruba, from Qatada, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Madan bin Abu Talha, from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who narrated it. Its isnad is sahih.
