The Prophet ﷺ stood among us and spoke about misappropriation of war spoils, magnifying it and the seriousness of its matter. He said, "Let me not find any of you on the Day of Resurrection with a bleating sheep on his neck, calling out, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I say, 'I have no power to do anything for you. I already conveyed the message to you.'Or with a neighing horse on his neck, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I say, 'I have no power to do anything for you. I already conveyed the message to you.'Or with a grunting camel on his neck, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I say, 'I have no power to do anything for you. I already conveyed the message to you.'Or with silent gold and silver on his neck, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I say, 'I have no power to do anything for you. I already conveyed the message to you.'Or with fluttering rags of cloth on his neck, saying, 'Messenger of Allah, help me!' and I say, 'I have no power to do anything for you. I already conveyed the message to you.'"
قام فينا النبي ﷺ فذكر الغلول فعظمه وعظم أمره قال: لا ألفين أحدكم يوم القيامة على رقبته شاة لها ثغاء، على رقبته فرس له حمحمة، يقول: يا رسول الله أغثني، فأقول: لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك، وعلى رقبته بعير له رغاء يقول: يا رسول الله أغثني فأقول: لا أملك لك شيئا، قد أبلغتك، وعلى رقبته صامت فيقول: يا رسول الله أغثني، فأقول: لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك أو على رقبته رقاع تخفق فيقول: يا رسول الله أغثني فأقول: لا أملك لك شيئا قد أبلغتك.
