We were with Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Samura in Kabul when the people seized some spoils and began plundering them. He stood up to address them and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid plundering."So they returned what they had taken, and he divided it among them.
كنا مع عبد الرحمن بن أبي سمرة بكابل، فأصاب الناس غنيمة، فانتهبوها، فقام خطيبا فقال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ ينهى عن النهبى فردوا ما أخذوا فقسمه بينهم.
Abu Dawud (2703) and Ahmad (20619, 20631) narrated it through multiple routes from Jareer bin Hazim, from Yaala bin Hakeem, from Abu Labid, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Abu Labid, who is Lamazah bin Zubar Azdi, for his hadith is hasan.
