An army acquired food and honey as spoils during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the fifth was not taken from them.
أن جيشا غنموا في زمان رسول الله ﷺ طعاما وعسلا، فلم يؤخذ منهم الخمس.
Narrated by Abu Dawud (2701), and Ibn Hibban (4825) and Bayhaqi (9/59) graded it sahih, all of them through routes from Ubaydullah, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, who mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
