Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to allot two shares for the horse and one share for its rider.In another wording, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided the spoils on the day of Khaybar, allotting two shares for the horse and one share for the foot soldier.Ubaydullah bin Umar al-Umari said that Nafi explained this, saying, "If a man has a horse with him, he receives three shares, but if he has no horse, he receives one share."

عن ابن عمر

أن رسول الله ﷺ يجعل للفرس سهمين، ولصاحبه سهما. وفي لفظ: قسم رسول الله ﷺ يوم خيبر للفرس سهمين، وللراجل سهما. قال-أي عبيد الله بن عمر العمري-: فسره نافع، فقال: إذا كان مع الرجل فرس فله ثلاثة أسهم، فإن لم يكن له فرس فله سهم.
