Abdullah bin Umar reported,

A horse of his was lost and captured by the enemy. When the Muslims gained victory over them, it was returned to him during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. A slave of his also fled and joined the Romans, and when the Muslims gained victory over them, Khalid bin Walid returned the slave to him after the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
