Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held a race between the horses that had been trained for endurance, starting from al-Hafya, with the finish line at Thaniyyat al-Wada. He also held a race between the horses that had not been trained for endurance, from the pass to the mosque of Banu Zurayq. Abdullah bin Umar was among those who raced. In another narration, it adds that Abdullah, meaning Ibn Umar, said, "I came in first, and my horse leaped over the wall of the mosque with me."
