The Prophet ﷺ, whenever he gained victory over a people, would remain at their courtyard for three nights.
عن النبي ﷺ: أنه كان إذا ظهر على قوم أقام بالعرصة ثلاث ليال.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Jihad (3065), from Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahim, who said, Rawh bin Ubada narrated to us, who said, Saeed narrated to us, from Qatada, who said, Anas bin Malik mentioned to us, from Abu Talha, and he related it.He also related it in the Book of Campaigns (3976), from Abdullah bin Muhammad, from Rawh, through the same chain, at greater length.Muslim related it in the Book of Paradise (2875), from Muhammad bin Hatim, from Rawh, through the same chain, and also by way of Abdul-Ala, from Saeed, through the same chain, except that he related only part of the hadith and then said, "And he related the hadith with the same meaning as the hadith established from Anas."
