The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been sent with comprehensive speech, and I have been aided with awe. While I was sleeping, the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought and placed in my hand."Abu Hurairah said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has departed, and you are now extracting them."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: بعثت بجوامع الكلم، ونصرت بالرعب، وبينا أنا نائم أتيت بمفاتيح خزائن الأرض فوضعت في يدي. قال أبو هريرة: وقد ذهب رسول الله ﷺ وأنتم تنتثلونها.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Jihad (2977), and Muslim in the Book of Mosques (6:523), through various routes from Ibn Shihab, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.His statement, "you extract it," means you draw it out, referring to the wealth and the worldly riches that were opened up to them.
