The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take Umm Sulaym along on military expeditions, together with other women from the Ansar. They would give the soldiers water to drink and tend to the wounded.
كان رسول الله ﷺ يغزو بأم سليم، ونسوة من الأنصار معه إذا غزا، فيسقين الماء ويداوين الجرحى.
