Thalaba bin Abu Malik reported,

Umar bin Khattab was distributing cloaks among the women of Medina, and one fine cloak remained. Someone present said to him, "Commander of the Believers, give this one to the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who is with you," meaning Umm Kulthum bint Ali.Umar replied, "Umm Salit is more deserving of it."Umm Salit was one of the women of the Ansar who had pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Umar said, "She used to carry waterskins for us on the day of Uhud."Abu Abdullah, who is Imam Bukhari, said that "tazfir" means "to stitch."

عن ثعلبة بن أبي مالك

أن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه قسم مروطا بين نساء من نساء المدينة، فبقي مرط جيد، فقال له بعض من عنده: يا أمير المؤمنين أعط هذا ابنة رسول الله ﷺ التي عندك يريدون أم كلثوم بنت علي، فقال عمر: أم سليط أحق، وأم سليط من نساء الأنصار ممن بايع رسول الله ﷺ، قال عمر: فإنها كانت تزفر لنا القرب يوم أحد. قال أبو عبد الله (وهو الإمام البخاري) تزفر: تخيط.
