The Messenger of Allah said, "There are two groups from my Ummah whom Allah has protected from the Fire, a group that wages military campaigns in Hind, and a group that will be with Isa bin Maryam."
عن رسول الله قال: عصابتان من أمتي أحرزهما الله من النار: عصابة تغزو الهند، وعصابة تكون مع عيسى بن مريم.
Nasai (3175) narrated it from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Raheem, who said, Asad bin Musa told us, who said, Baqiyyah told us, who said, Abu Bakr Zubaydi told me, from his brother Muhammad bin Walid, from Luqman bin Amir, from Abdul-Ala bin Adi Bahrani, from Thawban, and he related it.In the chain is Baqiyyah, who is Ibn Walid, a mudallis, but he explicitly stated that he heard the hadith directly, and moreover he was not alone in narrating it. His teacher Abu Bakr, who is Ibn Walid Zubaydi, is majhul (unknown), but he too was not alone in narrating it. Imam Ahmad (22396) narrated it through Baqiyyah, who said, Abdullah bin Salim and Abu Bakr bin Walid Zubaydi told us, with the same wording. Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat (6737), and in Musnad Shamiyin (1851), through another route, from Jarra bin Mulayh Bahrani, from Muhammad bin Walid Zubaydi, with his chain of transmission. With these corroborations the chain becomes hasan.A note of caution, in the printed edition of Tabarani there is confusion in the chain, so beware of that.Tabarani said, "This hadith is not narrated from Thawban except through this chain, Zubaydi related it alone," meaning Muhammad bin Walid.I say, this is not as he said, for it has also been narrated by others besides Muhammad bin Walid Zubaydi, as you have seen.
