A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My mount has collapsed under me, so provide me with a riding animal."The Prophet replied, "I have nothing to give."A man said, "Messenger of Allah, I can direct him to someone who will provide him with a mount."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever guides someone to a good deed receives a reward equal to the one who performs it."
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: إني أبدع بي فاحملني، فقال: ما عندي. فقال رجل: يا رسول الله، أنا أدله على من يحمله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله.
Muslim narrated it in al-Imarah (1893:133) via Abu Muawiya, from Amash, from Abu Amr Shaybani, from Abu Masud Ansari, who said, then he related it.His saying, "Abdaa bi" means, "My mount perished," referring to the animal he was riding.
