I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Two eyes will never be touched by the Fire, an eye that wept out of fear of Allah, and an eye that spent the night standing guard in the cause of Allah."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: عينان لا تمسهما النار، عين بكت من خشية الله، وعين باتت تحرس في سبيل الله.
Tirmidhi (1639) and Ibn Abu Asim in al-Jihad (146) narrated it through the route of Shuayb bin Razeeq Abu Shayba, who said, "Ata Khurasani told us, from Ata bin Abu Rabah, from Ibn Abbas," and he related it.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith, we do not know it except through the narration of Shuayb bin Razeeq."I say, it is as he said, for Shuayb bin Razeeq and Ata Khurasani are both disputed narrators, though they are graded hasan in this hadith. Ibn Hajar also graded it hasan in al-Fath (6/83).
