Abdullah bin Masud reported,

I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Messenger of Allah, which deed is best?"He answered, "Prayer at its proper time."I asked, "Then which?"He said, "Then kindness to parents."I asked, "Then which?"He said, "Then jihad in the path of Allah."I stopped questioning the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at that point, though had I asked for more, he would have told me more.

عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال

سألت رسول الله ﷺ قلت: يا رسول الله أي العمل أفضل؟ قال الصلاة على ميقاتها، قلت: ثم أي؟ قال: ثم برالوالدين، قلت: ثم أي؟ قال: لجهاد في سبيل الله فسكت عن رسول الله ﷺ ولو استزدته لزادني.
