The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have a right over Quraysh, and Quraysh have a right over you so long as they judge with justice, fulfill their trusts when entrusted, and show mercy when mercy is sought from them. Whoever does not do that, upon him is the curse of Allah."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن لي على قريش حقا وإن لقريش عليكم حقا ما حكموا فعدلوا، وأتمنوا فأدوا، واسترحموا فرحموا، فمن لم يفعل ذلك فعليه لعنة الله.
Ahmad (7653) narrated it from Abdul-Razzaq, and it is in his Musannaf (19902) with this wording, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (4581) from Mamar, from Ibn Abu Dhib, from Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it. Ahmad did not mention his words, "Whoever does not do that, upon him is the curse of Allah." Its isnad is sahih.
